Every example fills in the form below. Change any
part of it and run again — that is the fastest way to learn what
this tool can do.
1 · WHAT KIND OF RESULT?
2 · PICK TWO TEAMS
TEAM A
VS
TEAM B
Finds every meeting between these two teams on file
and shows BOTH teams' own win-loss record entering each one -- not a
threshold search across the whole league, a specific matchup's own
history.
2 · PLAYER OR TEAM?
3 · SCOPE (every team on file, a state, a CIF section,
a league, or one team)
TEAM
LEAGUE
PLAYER (optional — leave blank to search every
player)
4 · STAT CRITERIA (up to 3, all must be met — add a
volume qualifier like "under 10 carries" as its own criterion)
For a plain winning or losing
streak, add a criterion below and pick RESULT → Win/Loss (1 = win,
0 = loss) — or leave criteria blank and use the RESULT filter
under SPLITS instead. Either way works the same search.
4 · WINDOW & STAT
Answers "is this the fewest/most in a
<N>-game stretch since YEAR?" -- a stretch with any game missing
a box score on file is skipped, never counted as zero. "To begin a
season" (Cooper, item #6) narrows the candidate windows to just each
season's own OPENING N games (games 1, 2, ... N) instead of sliding
across every position -- e.g. 3 games to begin the season means games
1, 2 and 3, ranked against every other season's own opening 3 games.
4B · WINDOW (games from the season's start)
Then set the record threshold below (e.g. WINS at
most 0 = a winless start). A season with fewer than this many games on
file is skipped, never guessed at.
4 · EVENT
An event is a yes/no fact about one team-game, read from
the final score and the team box (a game missing that number never counts).
"Fewest in a season" needs at least 5 games on file.
4C · CLASS, RANKING, PER GAME & MINIMUMS
5 · SPLITS
"To begin a season" only
credits a streak that starts at that season's own opener (game 1) --
same restriction the STRETCHES card's own "To begin a season" SPAN
option uses. A season whose very first game doesn't qualify has no
streak here at all, even if the team goes on a run starting game 2.
